A Procrastinator’s Guide to Beating the Bouquet this Mother’s Day

A Procrastinator’s Guide to Beating the Bouquet this Mother’s Day

May 11, 2018

If you’re anything like me, you wait until the very last minute to figure out gifts for any and every holiday there is. Birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Christmas — you name it, and I bet I’ve scrambled in the days leading up, wracking my brain for something thoughtful and unique. By now, you’d expect that I would recognize the pattern, learn from my mistakes, and start planning for the next holiday as soon as the last holiday has passed.

Yet here we are. T minus 3 days til Mother’s Day. Nothing has been planned. Stress levels are at an all time high. My email inbox has been full of Mother’s Day promotions for weeks, a constant reminder that I have no excuse for waiting until the eleventh hour to get something together.

To make matters worse, my mom is honestly the best gift giver on the planet. She always seems to know what I want before I even know I want it. So, it feels extra wrong to go cliche and order her flowers, especially when my grandma, my aunt, my brother, and her friends are all doing the same thing.

Unfortunately for me, when you work for a sock company, socks sort of lose their viability as a gift. Fortunately for you, you (probably) don’t work for a sock company. And that’s where we can help! A sock subscription makes for a cute, practical, unique present that won’t wilt and die and leave a mess for Mom to clean up in a week. While everyone else’s gift has been long gone, yours will keep going for months, simultaneously spicing up Mom’s sock drawer and reminding her that you’re her favorite child (and if you’re not, that you should be).

My procrastinating tendencies have lead me to bite the bullet and spend over $60 bucks on chocolate covered strawberries for my mom. While I sit here resentful about shelling out an extra $20 dollars for guaranteed delivery by Mother’s Day, I’m hoping that someone will learn from my mistakes. With Sock Fancy, that much money gets you almost six months of cool socks for mom. Plus, you can use the code MOM18 on a new subscription, and she’ll receive cute floral pair free in her first shipment!

On that note — I should probably start planning for Father’s Day.
