Introducing… Ella Bartlett, Customer Experience Associate

April 17, 2018

Here at Sock Fancy, we strive to offer a top notch customer experience all the way from checkout to unboxing. Between festive inserts, fresh sock designs, and cool bag swag, we make customers our number one priority. But, just like everyone else, we make mistakes from time to time.

That’s where I come in.

Yours truly rocking an awesome pair of socks from our Spring line

Whether your sinister mailman has been swiping your socks, or you just want to swap your pair for a spicier pattern, I’m your girl. In a perfect world, there’d be no need for my job, and everyone would use their turn signals. But if Atlanta drivers are any indication, the world is anything but perfect, and thankfully, I’m gainfully employed.

To make a long story short, I’m just a native Atlantan who went to school in New Orleans and spent twoish years of her life as a barista. But if you want to get more in depth, here’s a little get-to-know-me so you have some talking points if you ever need my help.

3 guilty pleasures:

1. Margaritas — though I don’t feel nearly as guilty as I should about the amount of margaritas I consume. Catch me at Pure Taqueria sipping blueberry margs basically every weekend.

2. The Bachelor — this show is so bad it’s good. I’ll spend 20 minutes trash talking the entire premise of the show and how dumb it is, but you already know I’m tuning in every week.

3. Taylor Swift’s 1989 — if someone tries to tell me this album isn’t full of bangers I will put it on until they change their mind (or at least pretend to change their mind so I’ll change the music).

What’s the soundtrack to your life?

Probably Megalithic Symphony by AWOLNATION. It’s been one of my favorite albums since my freshman year of college. How To Be A Human Being by Glass Animals is another contender. Sometimes I listen to it on repeat for weeks!

What’s your spirit animal?

A koala! I studied abroad in Melbourne in college and fell in love with those fuzzy little dudes. They’re cuddly and clingy and fuzzy and basically me squished into a little grey blob.
Cuddlin’ a koala in Cairns, Australia circa 2015.

Favorite Atlanta hotspot?

Ladybird on a warm sunny day is basically my happy place. New Realm Brewing has also been one of my favorites lately! Really anywhere I can sit outside with friends and a cold beer, I’m pretty content.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to own a bakery when I grow up! I love to bake, and I love to surprise my friends and loved ones with delicious homemade treats. I’m always looking for excuses to try a new cookie recipe or whip out my stand mixer — Cinco de Mayo cupcakes, anyone? — but if I owned a bakery, I wouldn’t need an excuse!

When you’re having a bad day, what are some small things that can make it better?

A cuddle with my cat Sushi never fails to cheer me up. I’ve had her since middle school, and she’s such a love bug. At night, she headbutts your shoulder until you let her under the covers, and then she spoons you. She always brightens my day! I also love to cook, so I’ll look up a new recipe and get lost in the kitchen for a while.

Favorite sock design?

Sprinkles! Because doughnuts are delicious and funfetti is the best and I get lots of compliments whenever I wear them.

So there you have it — Ella in a nut shell. And don’t be afraid to name drop my cat next time you need help with your subscription!
